Advocate of the Year Nominations

The Advocate of the Year is an awards initiative that recognizes the contributions being made across the field by rising stars and emerging leaders working as or supporting Healthcare Advocates.

Criteria

• The Advocate must have been in a healthcare field for at least 12 months

• Would prefer for the advocate to have an influential story of patient advocacy and making a difference in the lives of patients directly

• Would prefer the advocate to be in a patient-facing role, or supporting those who support patients but will accept nominations for those that work indirectly (such as “back of office” roles) with patients by supporting those that are patient-facing

• Nominee must be willing to participate in 1-2 potential marketing initiatives regarding the award post-conference

• The Nominee must be willing to participate in the nominee selection process for the next year

Nominations

What to consider when nominating

• Accomplishments in their respective scope of practice

• Self-Nomination and Nominating someone else is allowed

• Must be submitted with the correct nomination type (independent, hospital, etc.) 

categories

• Healthcare Facility Advocate

• Independent Patient and Health Care Advocate

• Manufacturer Role Advocate (Field Reimbursement, Patient Access, etc.)

• Pharmacy Based Advocate

• Private Practice Advocate

• Other

Selection Process

• Finalists and awardees will be selected by a panel of reviewers from across stakeholders in diverse roles relevant to patient access in healthcare.

Submission Deadline

• Submissions close Thursday August 15th, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET

Award

• The recipient receives a Healthcare Advocate Summit trophy, and the following for the 2026 Healthcare Advocate Summit

  • Complimentary Registration

  • $400 Travel Reimbursement

  • Lodging for arrival Tuesday, and departure on Friday

  • Participation in the selection process for 2026
